30 days from delivery · Standard items
Good faith goes both ways.
A change of heart is okay
Request a return within 30 calendar days after delivery of a non-custom item. Buyer’s remorse is accepted. The item must be in the condition received, with no customer-caused damage, alteration, installation damage, or missing included parts. Opening packaging to inspect the item does not, by itself, disqualify it.
How to return
Contact us with your order number and the items you wish to return. We will provide return instructions and the correct return address. Send the item within 14 calendar days after we provide those instructions, using protective packaging and a trackable service. Do not send a return to an address on the parcel without checking with us first.
Costs & refunds
For a change-of-mind return, you pay return shipping; the original shipping charge is not refundable unless required by law. We charge no restocking fee. After receiving and inspecting an eligible return, we issue the item-price refund and applicable tax to the original payment method within 10 business days. Your bank may take additional time to post it. If we believe a return is ineligible, we will explain why and discuss the item’s disposition before taking further action.
Personalized means made for you
Custom products—including engraved names, dates or messages, personalized wedding photographs, and customer-supplied artwork—are not eligible for change-of-mind returns once correctly produced. Engraving permanently alters the sign, and personalized imagery cannot ordinarily be resold. This exclusion does not apply to defects, shipping damage, an incorrect item, or our failure to follow the agreed customization.
If something arrives wrong
Contact us promptly with your order number and, where reasonably possible, photographs of the item and packaging. Please report visible shipping damage within 7 days to help us investigate; this request does not shorten rights provided by law. For a verified defect, transit damage, or our error, we provide an appropriate replacement or refund, including return shipping when we require the item back. You will not be required to accept store credit instead of a refund owed by law. Customer-caused damage is excluded.
Fair use of returns
Repeated returns may prompt a manual review for suspected fraud or misuse. We may limit future purchases where there is a documented, lawful reason, with an opportunity to contact us for review. A return count alone is not proof of abuse. We do not penalize honest reviews, good-faith defect claims, lawful chargebacks, privacy requests, or protected characteristics. Restrictions do not erase existing refund obligations or consumer rights.
Timing, delivery & cancellations
Made carefully. Sent thoughtfully.
Before you order
Product pages and checkout show the price, available delivery options, shipping charges, and applicable tax. Production time and carrier transit time are separate. Check the dimensions, customization, address, and any event deadline before paying; a delivery estimate is not an event-date guarantee unless we expressly agree to one.
Shipping commitments
We ship within the timeframe stated when you order. If no shipping timeframe is stated, we ship within 30 days of receiving a properly completed order. If we cannot meet the applicable shipping deadline, we notify you and obtain any legally required consent to the delay or cancel and promptly refund the unshipped merchandise as required by law. A custom-order designation does not remove these protections.
Changes & cancellation
Contact us as soon as possible to request a change or cancellation. We allow cancellation before production begins; after custom production begins, changes or change-of-mind cancellation may not be possible. If we decline an order because of unavailable stock, an unapproved price correction, or content restrictions, we refund the canceled portion. We do not substitute a higher price without your agreement.
Missing parcels & wrong addresses
Tell us about a missing, damaged, or incorrectly delivered parcel so we can investigate with the carrier. A tracking scan does not automatically resolve a non-delivery claim. Please verify your shipping address; additional reasonable redelivery costs caused by an address you supplied incorrectly may apply, subject to law. We remain responsible for remedies the law requires.
International & marketplace orders
We ship only to destinations offered at checkout. Any import charges payable by the buyer will be identified where reasonably available; local customs processing may affect delivery. Mandatory destination-country protections apply where applicable. Purchases through a marketplace also follow that platform’s applicable purchase and return rules; these policies do not reduce protections that the law or platform gives you.
Permissions, print quality & content standards
Your expression. With respect.
Your work stays yours
You retain the rights you hold in your artwork. By uploading a file, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to review, prepare, reproduce, and share it with service providers only as needed to fulfill and support your order, subject to the retention limits in Privacy. We do not gain ownership of your artwork or permission to advertise with it. Marketing use requires separate permission. We do not use customer uploads to train AI models.
Permission to print
You confirm you have the copyright license and other permissions required to reproduce the image, text, trademarks, and likenesses you submit. Appearing in a wedding photograph does not automatically give you the photographer’s reproduction rights. Obtain a print release when needed. Obtain appropriate consent for private or intimate imagery and lawful guardian permission where required for images of children. We may request evidence of permission or decline an order that raises unresolved concerns.
Proofs & permanent details
You are responsible for the spelling, dates, wording, sizing choices, and artwork you approve. Where a proof is supplied, production proceeds after your approval. Low-resolution files, screen settings, substrate, and printing processes can affect sharpness and color; minor reasonable differences are normal, but this does not excuse a material defect or a failure to match the agreed order. Tell us about problems before approving. Engravings are permanent.
Artistic expression
We consider tasteful, non-explicit artistic depictions of adults, including limited nudity, in context. Artistic purpose alone does not guarantee acceptance. We do not print explicit sexual acts, pornographic or legally obscene material, sexual violence, exploitation, or intimate imagery made or shared without the depicted person’s informed consent. We reject sexualized depictions of minors or anyone whose adulthood cannot reasonably be established, including synthetic depictions. We also reject images depicting abuse, graphic violence, cruelty, credible threats, or material promoting unlawful harm.
AI-generated images
AI artwork is welcome when it meets the same rights, consent, and content rules. Do not submit sexualized or nude synthetic depictions of an identifiable real person—including a public figure—without that person’s explicit consent. We may require disclosure of AI use, clarification of age or consent, or supporting rights information, and may reject a submission where authenticity or legality remains uncertain. Labeling an image “AI” does not establish permission or make unlawful content acceptable.
Review, refusal & reporting
We apply these standards to content and conduct, not to a customer’s protected identity. We may pause or reject an order, restrict uploads, or suspend an account for serious or repeated violations. We refund unfulfilled rejected work; suspension does not eliminate lawful remedies. If required by applicable law, we preserve and report relevant information to appropriate authorities. Reporting or evidence-preservation obligations may override routine deletion. For a rights complaint, contact us with the affected material and a description of your rights; do not send unlawful imagery as an attachment.
Customer information & the 30-day photo rule
Your memories are not our inventory.
What we collect & why
We collect contact and delivery details, account information, order records, customization instructions, uploaded files, and support messages you provide. Our site and service providers may also process IP addresses, device/browser information, necessary session information, and security logs. We use these categories to operate accounts, fulfill orders, provide support, protect the service, meet legal obligations, and send marketing only with the permission required by law.
Your uploaded photos: 30 days
We retain customer-uploaded photographs and artwork for no more than 30 calendar days after purchase, to prepare the order and resolve printing or delivery problems. By that deadline, we delete the files and image-bearing derivatives from our database, production storage, support copies, and backups under our control, and require our processors to follow the same limit. The exception is a specific legal duty to preserve evidence or comply with a lawful order; retained material is restricted to that purpose and deleted when the duty ends.
Reprints after deletion
Please keep your original file. The 30-day clock begins at purchase, not delivery. If an order is delayed or a replacement is needed after deletion, we ask you to upload the file again; deletion does not end any valid replacement or refund right. A replacement upload is kept only as long as needed for that request and no longer than 30 days after the new upload. Files submitted without a completed purchase are deleted within 30 days of upload.
Who receives information
We disclose only information reasonably needed by providers that host or secure the site, process payments, support production, deliver parcels, and handle customer support. Payment providers process payment credentials; we retain transaction references and limited payment details needed for service and accounting, rather than card security codes. Providers must protect data and use it for the agreed service, subject to their independent legal duties. We may disclose information when legally required or necessary to investigate fraud or protect legal rights. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Other records & your choices
The photo deadline does not erase non-image invoices, transaction records, or correspondence needed for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, or legal claims. We keep those only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes or as required by law, with access restricted. You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your information, and unsubscribe from marketing at any time. We verify requests proportionately. Applicable law may provide additional rights, including authorized-agent requests, appeal rights, and complaints to a regulator. We explain any lawful refusal and applicable review process without penalizing you for exercising your rights.
Security & children
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, but no system can promise absolute security. Our store is intended for adult purchasers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. A parent or authorized adult may submit a lawful family photograph for an order. If you believe a child has submitted personal information without authorization, contact us so we can address it.
How the site remembers what it needs
Useful essentials. Clear choices.
Essential functionality
Cookies and similar storage may support your cart, sign-in, security, checkout, and saved preferences. Disabling essential storage in your browser can prevent these features from working. A payment provider may use its own security technology when you enter checkout.
Optional technologies
We do not activate optional analytics or advertising cookies without consent where consent is required. If optional technologies are offered, the site’s consent controls identify their purpose and let you change your choice. Rejecting optional tracking does not prevent a purchase. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we honor legally applicable opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control.
Managing your choices
You can review or remove stored site data through your browser settings. Where the site offers optional-cookie controls, those controls let you withdraw permission for future optional tracking. Withdrawal does not retroactively undo processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Email preferences are separate; use the unsubscribe option in marketing emails or contact us.
External services
Links to external websites and payment-provider pages may have their own privacy notices. This policy describes Wall and Ink’s practices; it does not replace notices from an independent provider. Contact us if you need help identifying a provider involved in your order.
Your order, our responsibilities
A clear agreement. A considered purchase.
The agreement
These policies apply to purchases directly from Wall and Ink, the seller identified on your order confirmation. Before checkout, review the product description, price, customization details, and policies presented with your order. By affirmatively accepting the terms at checkout and placing an order, you agree to those terms. Simply browsing does not give us permission to use your artwork or send marketing. Purchasers must be legally able to enter the transaction.
Product use & care
Follow the product’s mounting and care instructions. Handle metal edges carefully and keep small mounting parts away from children. Use suitable mounting hardware and assess the surface and location before installation. Unless expressly specified, decorative signs are not certified safety equipment, official traffic signs, or a substitute for code-compliant notices. Do not rely on them where a regulated or safety-critical sign is required.
Our materials & your uploads
Our original site copy, designs, branding, and photographs are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Buying a sign does not transfer reproduction or commercial licensing rights. Your own uploaded artwork remains subject to the rights you hold and the limited fulfillment license described under Custom artwork.
Accounts & misuse
Keep account credentials secure and tell us about suspected unauthorized access. Do not interfere with the site, submit fraudulent orders, exploit payment systems, or upload unlawful material. We may proportionately restrict access or decline future orders for documented misuse, subject to applicable law and existing order obligations. You may ask us to review a restriction.
Responsibility & legal rights
We are responsible for fulfilling the agreed order and providing remedies required by law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused solely by your misuse, unauthorized alterations, or third-party use outside our control. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, limits applicable product warranties, or waives rights concerning defects, personal injury, fraud, or our own legally actionable conduct. No provision restricts honest reviews, lawful chargebacks, or complaints to regulators.
Questions, disputes & updates
Contact us first if something is wrong so we can try to resolve it. You retain access to courts, small-claims procedures, and other remedies available under applicable law; these terms impose no mandatory arbitration or class-action waiver. The version accepted when you order governs that order. Later changes apply prospectively and do not remove accrued rights. We provide additional notice or obtain consent when the law requires it. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent lawful.
