City Watcher
This piece was inspired by the neighborhood cats I saw while living in an old part of Barcelona. They always seemed to be observing something beyond our view—calm, curious, and completely in their element. I wanted to capture that sense of wonder and quiet confidence, using color to reflect the energy and chaos of the city around them.
“Cats see the world differently. They remind me to slow down, observe, and find magic in the ordinary.”— María Torres
The process
From idea to wall
I usually start with a photo or a quick sketch, then explore different color palettes and textures. I love the moment when the image starts to feel alive—when realism and abstraction begin to mix.
Seeing it finally printed on aluminum and hung on a wall is always special. It gives the artwork a new life beyond the screen.
